Three Bills Pass the House to Deliver Key Wins for Veterans

Bills Would Extend Transition Program for Women Veterans, Require VA to Provide Materials in Spanish & Tagalog, and Improve SAH Grants

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, the House of Representatives passed all three bills brought to the floor by the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs to deliver clear results for veterans by extending the Women’s Health Transition Training program, requiring VA to provide materials in Spanish and Tagalog, and making key improvements to the specially adapted housing (SAH) grant program.

1.H.R. 2942, (Rep. Cisneros) To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to carry out the Women's Health Transition Training pilot program through at least fiscal year 2020, and for other purposes.

2.H.R. 2943, (Rep. Cisneros) To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to make all fact sheets of the Department of Veterans Affairs in English, Spanish, and Tagalog.

3.H.R. 3504, (Rep. Bilirakis) Ryan Kules Specially Adaptive Housing Improvement Act of 2019
