WASHINGTON, DC -- House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs Ranking Member Mark Takano (CA-39) released the following statement welcoming the Committee’s newest Democratic members:
“As we begin the 119th Congress, I am thrilled to welcome our committee members, both new and returning. We have a diverse group of members who are ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work on behalf of our nation’s veterans. Our members bring a wealth of experiences to the table that will help us build upon Democratic-led successes.
“We made significant progress in expanding healthcare and benefits, and reducing veteran homelessness during the Biden-Harris Administration. I am confident that Committee Democrats will protect the gains we have made, serve veterans’ best interests, and help provide meaningful solutions for our veterans.”
