Erin Snow and Grace Rodden Newly Hired as Members of House Veterans’ Affairs Committee Minority Staff

Washington D.C.- House Veterans Affairs Committee Ranking Democrat Corrine Brown hired Ms. Erin Snow to become the new Staff Director for the Subcommittee on Economic Opportunity, and Ms. Grace Rodden for the position of Minority Investigative Counsel. With regard to the new hires, Congresswoman Brown made the following statement:

“I am pleased to announce that Ms. Erin Snow will become the new Subcommittee Staff Director for Economic Opportunity, and I welcome Ms. Grace Rodden to our committee to serve as our Minority Investigative Counsel.  Both intelligent attorneys, Ms. Erin Snow was a former Legislative Counsel for Congressman Beto O’Rourke (TX-16), while Ms. Grace Rodden served as Legislative Counsel and Director of Get out the Vote Efforts for Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick (AZ-01). In Ms. Snow’s capacity as Legislative Counsel for Rep. O’Rourke, she served as his Veterans’ policy expert and advised the Congressman on Veterans’ Affairs Committee issues.   During her time with the Congressman, she also successfully advanced legislation, and drafted veterans’ related bills that passed both in Committee and the House floor.  Additionally, Ms. Snow was responsible for developing strategy and managing efforts to approve a new VA hospital in El Paso, Texas.

Ms. Grace Rodden, who served as Legislative Counsel to Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick, managed a legislative portfolio on veterans’ affairs, and advised and staffed the Congresswoman on VA Committee hearings.  She was also instrumental in providing counsel to the Congresswoman during the negotiations of the Veterans’ Access, Choice and Accountability Act, and provided guidance on communications issues to Congresswoman Kirkpatrick and her staff during the crisis at the Phoenix Medical Center.

“I am certain that both Ms. Snow and Ms. Rodden will contribute greatly to our efforts to serve the veterans of this great nation, and be tremendous assets to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs.  I look forward to working with both of these highly qualified women.”
