This roundtable discussed recent staffing and policy changes at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) that has created a more complicated security environment for protecting veterans’ data. Further, Members and participants had the opportunity to discuss the legacy of DOGE, the growth, and use of veterans’ data to train artificial intelligence (AI) models, and VA's ability to enforce security protocols across VAs' enterprise and its partners.
