On Wednesday, September 18, 2019, the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs will hold an oversight hearing entitled, “Critical Impact: How Barriers to Hiring at VA Affect Patient Care and Access.”  This hearing will examine how pay, cost of living, hyper-competitive employment regions, and administrative barriers impact VA’s ability to hire and retain talented employees across all occupations.
